Meet Dr. Hellmann
Kymberly Ann Hellmann was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1966, and graduated from the Senior High School in Edwardsville, Illinois in 1984. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing degree from Maryville University in 1998. Sensing the call of God on her life as a young wife and mother, she enrolled in Pillsbury College & Seminary in St. Louis. There she earned a Master of Christian Counseling Psychology (2010), a Christian Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology (2011), and a Doctor of Christian Philosophy in Clinical Counseling (2013).
In 2010, Dr. Kym launched her private counseling practice, Harmony Christian Counseling, LLC, which is prominently located on Interstate Highway 364 in O’Fallon, MO. She is a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor – Advanced Certified by NCCA (National Christian Counselors Association). She also is board certified in Pre-Marital Assessment, Marriage Counseling, Divorce Mediation, and Life Coaching.
She served as Professor of Christian Counseling at Pillsbury College & Seminary (2013-2016), and presently serves as Executive Vice President of CrossFire Christian College in St. Charles, MO, where she also serves as Dean of Christian Counseling and Clinical Supervisor. Dr. Kym attends Grace Community Chapel in St. Peters, MO, and she leads a Bible study group of 20 women who meet in her office building every Monday evening.
Dr. Kym continues to be active in the field of Christian higher education. She serves as Executive Vice President of Association of Independent Christian Colleges and Seminaries. AICCS is an accrediting association with more than 450 schools located in 31 U.S. states and in 53 other nations around the world. She serves as the senior examiner for the Accreditation Commission of AICCS.
Dr. Kym has been married for 32 years to Reed Hellmann, a Senior IT Consulting Manager. They have one daughter, Taylor, who is a Cardiac Intensive Care Nurse at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. The Hellmann family resides in Dardenne Prairie (St. Charles County), MO with their West Highland Terrier named Daisy.
